Ohio Drivers Scramble for Cash After $200K Spill

Police in Columbus, Ohio have warned motorists who took part in a roadside cash grab this week that cash that falls out of the back of an armored car doesn't count as free money. A blizzard of cash coated an intersection after a bag of cash bounced out of the back of the vehicle and around $100,000 is still missing, the AP reports.

"It's different than walking down the street and finding a $5 bill laying there," a police spokesman said. "This is clearly marked, identifiable money that belongs to somebody else laying in the middle of a busy intersection." Police believe up to 20 motorists made off with money from the scene. Ten people have come forward so far to return a total of $12,000. Authorities are reviewing security camera footage to track down the others, who could be charged with grand theft.
