Want to date newly single Kate Winslet? You may be out of luck. After an amicable split in March, she and Sam Mendes are attempting to salvage their seven-year marriage. The family is retreating to one of their homes in England for the summer, ContactMusic.com reports, citing a report in Britain’s Sunday Express.

“They are going to stay at the house with the children this summer and see if they can reignite their spark,” says a source. “Sam has always been able to walk away from girlfriends before, but now there are children involved he wants to see if he can work it out with Kate.”
