The Kentucky Wildcats trailed for much of last night's game before upsetting top-ranked Louisiana State in triple overtime, reports the Lexington Herald-Leader. The underdogs quickly dug their way out of a 27-14 hole late in the third quarter with Andre Woodson's touchdown pass and two field goals nailed by streaky kicker Lones Sieber.

Kentucky's coach hailed Sieber's move "from the doghouse in everybody's mind to the penthouse" in a game that saw LSU fall from its undefeated pedestal. The nation's fourth-best defense gave up more than twice its average 59 yards to the Wildcats' running game, and the Tigers' 12 penalties combined for a loss of 103 yards.
