NASA Dumps Deranged Astronaut

Love-lorn Lisa Nowak made history again Wednesday, when she became the first astronaut ever to get a pink slip from NASA. The space agency remanded her to the U.S. Navy, for whom she was officially on assignment at NASA.

Nowak became the space agency's first active-duty astronaut to be accused of a felony last month, when she attacked the new girlfriend of her ex-lover, fellow astronaut William Oefelein. Once criminal proceedings against Nowak are complete, she may face military charges.
