Fred Goldman said he was "thrilled to see that this SOB" will "hopefully go to jail for the rest of his life." OJ was acquitted 13 years ago of killing ex-wife Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman. The Las Vegas armed robbery trial generally failed to incite the same intense emotions that polarized Americans along racial lines after Simpson was acquitted in 1995. Some see the verdict as payback, while others expressed frustration that the former NFL star squandered his freedom. But many simply didn’t care. "I woke up to voicemails on the verdict, and I wondered, what verdict?" said a member of Simpson’s murder defense team.
