Lindsey Buckingham Allegedly Has Substance Thrown at Him

Lindsey Buckingham's latest headline has nothing to do with music. Law enforcement sources tell NBC4 the former Fleetwood Mac guitarist was attacked Tuesday in Santa Monica by a woman who was known to Buckingham from prior incidents. Investigators say the 76-year-old arrived for an appointment when the woman allegedly threw an unknown substance at him and fled. Buckingham was not hurt.

Authorities say they believe the suspect learned the time and place of his appointment and then went there; she has been identified but not yet arrested, though law enforcement sources expect that to happen soon. The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, known for hits like "Go Your Own Way," was a key member of Fleetwood Mac until he was booted from the group in 2018.
