Dermot Mulroney and wife Prima Apollinaare are ending their marriage, and the 61-year-old My Best Friend's Wedding actor is making a "bold money move" on the way out, per TMZ. The outlet reports that Mulroney filed for divorce and says the divorce documents it viewed have him asking for spousal support from Apollinaare; TMZ claims he's also requesting that the court block Apollinaare from receiving spousal support from him. Maybe. In an update to its own story, TMZ notes a source said to be close to the pair insists "neither side is asking for anything, and no one is denying anything." They're also "not arguing over the children nor money."
TMZ adds that its source says the couple went through mediation for the split, "as they are friends and this is amicable and they were advised to file this way." The outlet notes that the two even list the same address in Sherman Oaks, California, suggesting they're still living together. People reports that the Saturday divorce filing cited irreconcilable differences and noted a date of separation as "TBD." The document also asks that there be joint physical and legal custody for the couple's two daughters, Mabel Ray, 17, and Sally June, 15.
Mulroney and Apollinaare, a singer-songwriter from Italy who changed her name from Tharita Cutulle (Page Six notes she was born Tharita Cesaroni), met and started dating in 2008, a year after Mulroney's split from actor Catherine Keener, with whom he shares a son, 26-year-old Clyde. Mulroney and Apollinaare had their two daughters together before marrying in December 2010. (More Dermot Mulroney stories.)
