Israel's military struck targets in central Tehran with "unprecedented intensity" on Monday, according to Israeli defense minister Israel Katz. The military said it was striking command centers of the Revolutionary Guards and other security forces responsible "for defending the homeland security, suppressing threats, and maintaining the regime's stability," per the Guardian. Iran's Fordo nuclear site, a target of US strikes a day prior, wasn't left alone. "The aggressor attacked the Fordo nuclear site again," Tasnim news agency reported, quoting a rep for the crisis management authority in Qom province.
Rafael Grossi, chief of the International Atomic Energy Agency, noted US bombing of the uranium enrichment plant dug into a mountain likely caused "very significant" damage to underground areas (see before and after satellite images here). Israel said it struck again "in order to obstruct access routes" to the site, per the BBC. Local reports indicate Israel also struck a building used by Iran's state broadcaster and the notorious Evin Prison. Iran's Nournews reportedly aired CCTV footage showing a strike on the prison entrance. Local news outlets reported the prison was damaged but that prisoners were safe and the situation was under control, per the Guardian. The BBC describes power outages in parts of the capital.
