Change for 2 Comedy Legends: 'We're In-Laws'

Eddie Murphy appeared on the Jennifer Hudson Show Thursday and revealed that he and fellow comic Martin Lawrence have a new bond: "We're in-laws," he told Hudson, reports the Los Angeles Times. Eric Murphy, 35, married Jasmin Lawrence, 29, two weeks ago in a small, private ceremony:

• "They went off, everybody was making the big wedding plans, and then they decided they wanted to do something quiet with just the two of them," said the 65-year-old Murphy. He added that he was happy for Lawrence in that his friend, 60, won't have to pay for a lavish wedding.
• The pair got engaged last year. Jasmin, an actress, has previously said that they didn't meet through their famous fathers, even though the two are longtime friends, per People. "My uncle actually introduced us."
