(AP Photo/Michael Ainsworth, File) Tony Romo will become the highest-paid man to call an NFL game, thanks to a new deal to remain at CBS that'll see him bring home an eye-popping $17 million a season—considerably more than the previous record of $8 million a year set by one John Madden. The New York Post notes that the former quarterback only made more than $17 million a year during three of his 14 seasons. The CBS deal is for "significantly more than five years," likely putting the total north of $100 million. Among those who were trying to woo Romo: ESPN, who the Post notes will likely now try to court Peyton Manning to see if he'll finally cave.
