World | Elon Musk Elon Musk Might Get Sued Over 'Pedo Guy' Comment Diver's lawyer says Vernon Unsworth is preparing lawsuit By Evann Gastaldo Posted Aug 29, 2018 3:49 PM CDT Copied In this Dec. 14, 2016, file photo, Tesla CEO Elon Musk listens as President-elect Donald Trump speaks during a meeting with technology industry leaders at Trump Tower in New York. (AP Photo/Evan Vucci, File) Elon Musk recently suggested the cave diver he called "pedo guy" might actually be a pedophile, seeing as the diver hadn't sued Musk over his comment—but now a lawsuit may be coming. Vernon Unsworth, the British cave explorer who assisted with the rescue of the young soccer team trapped in a Thai cave, became the subject of Musk's ire after Unsworth criticized Musk's ideas for helping the boys as "not practical." Now Unsworth has lawyered up, and his attorney says in a letter to CNBC that the diver is preparing a civil complaint for libel against Musk. The lawyer said in the letter Musk's legal counsel should get in touch to avoid litigation, but there has been no comment from Musk or Tesla yet. (In other odd Musk news, the Tesla founder insists he didn't cry during a recent interview.) Read These Next A Delta flight got wild with an allegedly unruly passenger.
