(AP Photo/Gene J. Puskar) Amazon might buy some Toys R Us stores—but if you've been waxing nostalgic and bemoaning the impending death of the iconic toy chain, don't get excited. Amazon isn't looking to continue the Toys R Us brand, it's just interested in the vacant retail space, sources tell Bloomberg. If the plan comes to pass, Amazon would use the former Toys R Us locations to showcase its own products, mainly the Echo line of devices. The stores could also feature other inventory or be used to stage grocery delivery from Amazon-owned Whole Foods. No one from Toys R Us or Amazon has commented.
