With Clinton’s presidential chances looking slim, party insiders are floating the idea of a gubernatorial run, Newsweek reports. And David Paterson may not stay governor for long in Clinton’s state; Eliot Spitzer’s scandal-plagued successor may even need to resign soon and spark a November election. Hillary’s opponent, ironically, could be Rudy Giuliani, who is reportedly mulling a run for governor. Clinton is apparently open to the idea, while Bill Clinton rejects it out of hand.
