Sports | NBA Orlando Tragic in Philadelphia Philly backcourt keys decisive early surge in surprising Orlando road collapse By Jesse Andrews Posted Feb 27, 2008 9:57 PM CST Copied Orlando Magic coach Stan Van Gundy call a play during the second quarter of the Magics' NBA basketball game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008, in Philadelphia. (AP Photo/H. Rumph, Jr.) (Associated Press) A night after yet another convincing road win, the Magic lost a clunker in Philadelphia, entering halftime down 19 and departing Wachovia Center with a 101-89 loss that wasn't as close as the score, reports the Orlando Sentinel. Orlando's backcourt was so miserable on defense that rusty guards J.J. Redick and Carlos Arroyo saw significant minutes. Sixers point guard Andre Miller shot 90% from the field in the first half; he and starting backcourt mate Willie Green ended with 26 points each. Philadelphia hit 14 of its first 16 shots and has now won eight of its last 10; its 26-32 record is good for 7th and playoff eligibility in the diluted Eastern Conference.
