Help is wanted at Buckingham Palace, and keeping quiet is among the job requirements. The palace is looking for a housekeeping assistant, it says in a job ad—someone who will be in charge of "high-quality cleaning" and maintenance of bedrooms and bathrooms. The job holder will also take responsibility for guests, including "arranging dry cleaning, care of jewelry, running baths, assisting with dressing if required, and arranging the service of tea and breakfast trays."

Since the successful candidate will be working with the royals, AFP notes, he or she must be willing to "maintain confidentiality." The 40-hour-a-week job isn't limited to the palace; the employee will work "at a number of Royal residences in the UK." It pays $23,800 a year, but "there will be a salary adjustment" for included housing and food, the advertisement says.
