Zimmerman Lawyers Want More of Your Cash

George Zimmerman's surprisingly popular defense fund has been drained yet again, so his lawyers-slash-fundraisers have posted a new plea for money on the website. With less than $5,000 remaining in the account, they estimate they need $120,000 "to give George the defense he deserves." For a slightly less stellar defense, they require a minimum of $75,000. The defense team says it won't be getting rich off the money; the attorneys "have not been paid a cent," according to the statement. Rather, it'll be used for deposition transcripts and experts at trial. The Atlantic Wire estimates the fund had raised about $368,000 through March.
