Welcome to the lamestream media, Sarah Palin. She's going to be co-hosting NBC's Today show tomorrow morning, reports Mediabistro. Palin will go head-to-head with arch-nemesis Katie Couric, who's filling in this week on ABC's Good Morning America, and who's responsible for one of the former vice-presidential candidate's most embarrassing campaign moments. Palin, who later slammed Couric for "gotcha journalism," was unable to come up with the name of a single newspaper when Couric asked her what she reads.
Palin, who once did a stint as a sports anchor in Alaska and talks politics on Fox News, will have the Wisconsin primary to discuss tomorrow. Some find it hard to believe that Palin is taking the co-helm if even for a day. Panelists on one program speculated that it could just be an April Fool's joke. But the Washington Post calls the strategy the Today show's "Katie Couric Counter-Programming Campaign." Good Morning America has been nipping at Today's ratings heels. One media observer predicts that Couric "should attract more viewers than Palin," reports the New York Daily News.
