Losing stinks, but being a gracious loser is always more honorable than throwing a tantrum. Bad sportsmanship, however, did not stop these people—the 25 biggest sore losers in sports history, according to Bleacher Report. A sample:

• No. 23: George Steinbrenner: The Yankees kingpin was infamous for his short temper after a loss, especially the 1981 World Series when the boss punched a wall and broke his hand, then claimed he beat up two Dodgers fans in the elevator.
• No. 14: Vancouver Canucks fans: The hockey team lost in game seven of the 2011 Stanley Cup. In reaction, their fans went berserk and started a riot in their own city.
• No. 5: Serena Williams: Well-known for her on-court outbursts, she refused to shake the umpire's hand at the 2011 US Open because she felt cheated.
• No. 1: LeBron James: The NBA star decided not to congratulate the Orlando Magic on their conference win and instead stormed off the court into the locker room.
