Human Rights Groups: Bust Baby Doc

Former dictator "Baby Doc" Duvalier says he has "come to help" Haiti, but human rights groups say his only place in the nation is behind bars. Duvalier, who returned to Haiti over the weekend after almost 25 years in exile, is accused of massive corruption and extensive human rights abuses during his 15 years as leader.

"Duvalier's return to Haiti should be for one purpose only—to face justice," the head of Human Rights Watch Americas said in a statement. "His time to be held accountable is long overdue." It's not clear whether any warrants exist for the arrest of Baby Doc, who, like his father, used a brutal private militia known as the Tonton Macoutes to enforce his rule, notes the BBC.
