Joe Lieberman: End DADT, Even if We Have to Stay Late

Joe Lieberman is determined to repeal Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell—even if he has to work overtime to do it. The senator recently tweeted a link to a blog post recommending that Harry Reid keep the Senate in session until it ends DADT, and his press secretary tells Politico Lieberman believes that “wanting to go home is not an acceptable excuse for failing to pass a bill that provides essential support for our troops and veterans and failing to take action that the president, the secretary of defense, and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff have called for.”
